Nowadays, baking is done in too much of a hurry using bags of pre-mixed ingredients to cut corners for commercial gain, but not at Harry Gow’s. With five generations of baking tradition, Harry Gow has developed a better way of making and baking which is quite unique.
Harry Gow sandwich and pie fillings are made fresh, from scratch and to their own recipes. This gives Harry Gow’s wonderful slow fermented bread and rolls or special pie pastry the filling it deserves. Harry Gow shops sell more than just delicious bread and cakes – with homemade soup & fresh salad boxes, there’s a lot more than pies on the lunch menu.
In 2012 Harry Gow’s was crowned FIRST EVER Scottish Baker of the Year. This was the culmination of the hard work shown by Harry and his 60+ years in the trade, his family and the loyal staff which have surrounded him for 30+ years.
